BECOMING A YOUNG LIFE LEADER

If you're looking to have impact in the lives of others, becoming a Young Life might be just the thing for you. 

Young Life leaders enter into the worlds of middle school, high school and college students building friendships and living out the Gospel in their lives. Besides the tremendous impact made in the lives of students, it will lead to tremendous growth and personal development to all who make the commitment.

Greater Raleigh Young Life is comprised of three areas: Raleigh, Western Wake and Young Life College and has established ministry in 16 high schools, eight middle schools, three colleges and serves Latino and Urban communities as well as kids with disabilities.

STEP 1: Personalized Video

By Sunday, December 31st: Record a 60-90 second video and email the link (YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, etc.) to interestedinyl@gmail.com.

The purpose of the video is for us to get to know you and your personality. Tell us about your family, your favorite job, your least favorite class, your "unique" roommate, your favorite childhood memory, or anything in 60-90 seconds that helps us know you better. Don't overthink it...have fun with it. We can't wait to meet you. If you are joining this process after December 31st, start here anyway...just submit it today.

STEP 2: Character References

STEP 3: Leader Application

By Friday, January 12th: Follow the link below to fill out your application. Take your time and have fun: YL LEADER APPLICATION

STEP 4: Group Interview

January 17-18: We will have group interviews at the Young Life house (2517 Clark Ave). Be watching for a sign up for your 30-45 minute time slot.

STEP 5: Training

Tuesdays, January 16, 23 and 30 (6-8pm): We will begin our YL leader training. There will be more information on this as we get closer, but for now, just put these dates on your calendar.

STEP 6: Placement

Wednesday, January 31st (8 pm): We will meet together with all the leaders in the Greater Raleigh area and celebrate the placement of new leaders. It will be at this event that you will find out what team you will join.
